They just moved into the neighborhood, and have been pretty respectful so far. I just hope they stay out of the azaleas.

Oh dear. They won't stay out of anything. They'll eat the neighborhood clean. Rats with hooves.

Why is dinner walking around your neighborhood?

I have nothing against this pack, so far. They've been staying away from flower beds and garbage cans, and really just nibbling from the trees. Gotta watch out for ticks, of course, although birds carry deer ticks, too.

Looks tasty. How is the hunting in the Northern Virginia-Maryland area?

My buddy Jonathan hunts deer all the time in the Winchester area, but that's 90 minutes from me. Still, he'll bring me some steaks and venison sausage when he's in town. But where I live is way too residential for hunting, even bow-hunting.

a house down the street from me has duck-gooses (one animal, i guess its a result of a duck and a goose doing the you-know-what) chickens, and roosters the duck-gooses like(d) to lay eggs under a neighbors deck on the other side of my house. they used my driveway as a bathroom area. I asked the people to contain their animals, and the younger person was apologetic and said he would take care of it. well a few days went by and it continued to happen. I went back and the older guy told me to fuck off and shoot the fucking thing is and put it on youtube. At that point i decided it was time for animal control to handle this. The lazy bastard wouldn't do a damn thing. He said they were wild (even tho the people admitted to me that they were theirs) In the end traffic took care of my problem.

I actually love venison (elk, too), but I couldn't shoot an animal. I have no problem, however, accepting venison from my friends who hunt. And they typically get some pretty expensive beer out of the deal.

Sounds like you're a phone call and a 6-pack away from a tasty meal.

How can they afford to live in a neighborhood like that? They don't look like they have much doe. Probably only have a couple bucks between the lot of them.

I just saw four of them with fuzzies yesterday! In Maryland though. It's that time of year.
